Who is the founder of Grandma Charity Challenge?

The founding grandma is Catherine Onyemelukwe, grandmother of four.  On Decemeber 25 2011 I gave two of my grandkids a Christmas Charity Challenge. I gave them each $25 and a list of charities. I asked them to choose charities to receive their $25 and write a couple of sentences about their choice. I said I would match their $25 gift with $25 of my own if they convinced me with their sentences.  And I gave them a deadline.

I had to extend the deadline but then they made their choices. I had each one sit with me, find the website and the donation link. Then I had them enter the gift amount and the credit card number as we made the gift.

The letter I gave them to introduce the challenge was so convincing that my husband, children, and son-in-law were sure that I was taking part in an “official” challenge. They were amazed when I told them I made it up!

Now you can have your own grandma (or grandpa, or other relative) challenge with my simple and convenient tools.
