Party time

Ready for a party

Pile of gorgeous gifts

Who doesn’t like gifts?

For everyone who wants to encourage gifts to nonprofits we care about. Especially gifts to charity in lieu of gifts to oneself, and gifts by children.

Does your grandchild want to give you a Christmas or other holiday gift, or a birthday gift? Suggest they make a gift to your favorite charity in your honor. You then have the opportunity to explore the charity together and demonstrate how easy it is to support a nonprofit!

Having a party for your grandchild or child? You might ask the guests to consider a charitable gift instead of a physical gift. I bet your child will not feel neglected if you make him or her part of the decision process. Then everyone wins – the parents who don’t have to labor over the choice of a gift, and the children who learn about charitable giving.

  1. Hi Catherine,
I wondered what grandma charity challenge was, so I went to the site, and there was your picture. I have still to discover exactly what it is all about!
